Challenge Accepted!

In life we are constantly growing in ourselves and becoming the women we are destined to be and we are also growing in our relationships and it's an everyday goal that we strive to achieve so we can become an even greater version of ourselves. We find what we are truly capable of through the challenges and missions we give ourselves to complete, it's amazing what we can accomplish with just a little faith and commitment. What's better than challenging ourselves is challenging each other in a relationship. Just as it helps you grow individually into who you are, it also helps you grow in your relationship and helps it to be all that it can be. You owe that to yourself and to your relationship, fairy tales only exist in a dreamers world but who says we can't have our own fairytale? :) When Ricky and I first got married, obviously it was a big adjustment and a huge step in our relationship. Relationships in general have always been a great learning experience for anyone but we need to remember to push each other and keep one another motivated and engaged in each other's goals will just put the exclamation point in strong relationship! Since I moved to California to live with Ricky, we wanted to make sure that we kept each other accountable not only spiritually but personally as well. We can't forget about our own personal goals even when we are in a relationship, if you are anything like me, I have always put others before myself and that isn't always the best move. I can't forget that while I'm helping others reach their goals, I have to reach mine too. What Ricky and I decided to do was to make a personal goal for ourselves to achieve every week. Then we would also make a marriage goal for us to achieve for the week and we would write it down on our chalkboard so we wouldn't forget the missions we gave ourselves. We would also write down what the other one wrote so we could encourage and remind each other of the goals we set for ourselves. We are a team, right?! What greater teammate to have than your significant other. It not only gives you guys a chance to grow together but it also helps you to see what kind of missions your significant other has so you can help them achieve it. It turns out to be a lot of fun, especially when you give yourself a very adventurous relationship mission for the week! We usually start every Sunday and write down our two missions for the week and cross them off on Saturday when we complete them. Mission accomplished! Remember to give yourself a personal goal as well as a relationship goal and see where it takes you! Stay happy and beautiful!
